Arte Basilio
As a child in his native Mexico, Vincent B. Santiago started drawing on the back of the napkins and school binders, inspired by the rich colors and the beauty of his surroundings. His travels through Mexico and the Mediterranean provided bountiful inspiration and subject matter, and he was particularly inspired by the shadows, angles, and the colors of the coastal towns. A self-taught artist, Santiago has honed his skills over the years and refined his style, combining realism and impressionism in his treatment of vibrant landscapes and architecture. His preferred media are oils and acrylics on canvas. though he talent is also on display in several large installations: murals and churches and restaurants in Mexico. Santiago now lives in California, and his work be viewed at the art galleries in Sausalito, as well as online.
